Beşiktaş JK Museum: A Pinnacle of Sports History and Culture in Turkey
The Beşiktaş JK Museum, notable for being the first sports museum in Turkey, was inaugurated on December 11, 2001, inside the İnönü Stadium, making it the country’s first private sports museum. It was officially registered by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on June 28, 2007, under the authorization number 112603. Revitalized with a contemporary museum perspective, our museum reopened to visitors on February 14, 2017. Located through the historic 19 Mayıs Gate of Vodafone Park, the Beşiktaş JK Museum extends over two floors, spanning an area of 1650 m², and is the largest sports museum in Turkey.
Our museum reflects the 117-year history of our club, Beşiktaş JK, a witness to the sports history of our country. It aims to provide a source of contemporary sports culture. In transforming our museum collection into an informational object, our applications focus on enhancing your experience, taking you on an enjoyable digital journey.
The museum features a chronological narrative of our club’s story from 1902 to the present day, along with a collection and digital applications displayed in this context. Our Museum not only showcases football but also brings together information on all sports disciplines within our structure. It includes an exhibition area that organizes temporary exhibitions, merging sports and art, connected to our collection.
Aiming to provide an unforgettable experience through interactive and age-appropriate applications, the Beşiktaş JK Museum offers an opportunity for visitors to watch and interactively experience information about our club’s various sports disciplines across 58 digital stations. Additionally, an exciting roller coaster experience awaits you at Vodafone Park with augmented reality. The museum also features interactive areas throughout, allowing for touch-based exploration and discovery.
More than just a football club museum, the Beşiktaş JK Museum, with its interactive spaces and a structure friendly to both the disabled and children, promises a unique experience.
Our museum offers a multifaceted perspective on sports history and culture, aiming to enable future generations to discover and learn about sports heritage and culture.
